Auckland City to Devonport

Devonport is a relaxed bayside village with upscale cafes and seafood restaurants, as well as classic Kiwi pubs and fish and chips shops. Small boutiques and art dealerships line Victoria Road, while Devonport and Cheltenham beaches draw crowds. The volcanic cone of North Head has harbour views and underground army tunnels. Hikers also climb Mount Victoria, passing reservoir vents decorated as mushrooms.

Mount Victoria (Takapuna)

Mount Victoria is the highest volcano on Auckland's North Shore, rising to 87 m. Its age is currently unknown. The name Mount Victoria comes from Queen Victoria and the name Takarunga means "the hill standing above". The hill provides panoramic views of Auckland's Waitematā Harbour and the inner Hauraki Gulf.

Takapuna Beach

Make sure you check out Takapuna’s white-sand beach for family-friendly swimming and an awesome playground (more picnic spots here too). Afterwards, stretch your legs on the heritage trail from Takapuna to Milford along the water’s edge

Auckland Harbour Bridge

The Auckland Harbour Bridge is an eight-lane box truss motorway bridge over the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the second-longest road bridge in New Zealand, and the longest in the North Island. It is 1,020 m (3,348 ft) long, with a main span of 243.8 m, rising 43.27 m above high water, Construction start‎: ‎1954 - Construction end‎: ‎April 19.

Auckland Fish Market

Albert Sanford built the first fish market in Auckland in the early 1890s. Auckland Domain Winter gardens

The Winter Garden at the Auckland Domain is a treasure of great historic interest. It was designed in the early 1900s in the style of the famous English partnership of Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jeckyll and opened in 1913.

Parnell Rose Gardens

Also known as the Dove Myer Robinson Park, the gardens contain over 5000 roses which create a blaze of colour throughout summer and autumn. It is a popular attraction in the suburb of Parnell, not far from down town Auckland. The adjacent Nancy Steen Garden contains a collection of heritage roses while the white garden is a popular venue for weddings.

Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park

For any history lover- this is the one and only Bastion Point. In Maori; Takaparawhau A.K.A. Whenua Rangatira. Located on 49 hectares of land above Tamaki Drive on the way to Mission Bay, it provides a great panoramic view point as it sits on the harbour's edge. 

Auckland Harbour Bridge

Mission Bay is a seaside suburb of Auckland city, on the North Island of New Zealand, with a population of 5469. The suburb's beach is a popular resort, located alongside Tamaki Drive. The area also has a wide range of eateries.

A beautiful tribute to the first Labour Prime Minister of New Zealand- Michael Joseph Savage, I did wonder! A very cool American-esque mausoleum and obelisk. Beautiful stone and quartz steps and borders around it. A reflective, sunken pool with a well maintained hedged garden and colourful flower-beds surrounding. Has drinking fountains and bathrooms also. 

Achilles Point

Adjacent to a small, secluded beach, this popular, rocky viewpoint offers scenic bay & island views. Great place to spend some time on the grass, under the trees or in the memorial space

One Tree Hill / Maungakiekie

Maungakiekie / One Tree Hill is a 182-meter volcanic peak in Auckland, New Zealand. It is an important memorial place for both Māori and other New Zealanders. The suburb around the base of the hill is also called One Tree Hill.
